Sunday School at First . . . It isn’t just for kids!


Nursery/Child Care

Nursery is available to children up to 4 or 5 years old (NOT yet in kindergarten).  The nursery is staffed with one paid coordinator and 1 – 2 volunteers each week.  The nursery is open each Sunday from 8:00 to 12:00 (or after second service ends).  The nursery is located on the sanctuary level of the building, rooms 12 and 13. 

 

Sunday School classes meet each Sunday 9:30 – 10:30.

 

Preschool

This class is learning to Live B.I.G. (Believe In God)!  This group is ages 3 – 5 (not yet in Kindergarten) and meets in room 13, right next to the nursery. 

 

Climb on Board the DISCIPLE-ship!

Kindergarten through 6th Grade

Join us for a fun hour of hands on Bible lessons in our workshop rotation. The rotation allows each class to rotate rooms each week. Kids will experience the lesson through:

Holy-Word Theater,  Bible Quest, Noah’s Art, Lighthouse Productions, and The Fisher’s of Men Cafeé

Junior High (7th and 8th grades)

This class meets in room 21 under the guidance of Val Umholtz. They are diving into the book of Proverbs and learning some very practical rules for living a life that glorifies God.

 

High School -DESTINATION Unknown? 

Under the supervision of Chad Arseneau, this teen discussion oriented class covers lots of topics and our conversations sometimes go in "unknown" directions!  They look to discover God's place in their lives.  Currently, this class has assisted with ther production of some video messages used at church.

 

Adult Classes

Mixed Nuts – this group is diverse in age and takes their time digging into the Bible using a QPlace Bible study.   The leader is Dan Dooley and they would love to have you join them.  This group meets downstairs in the dining room.
